Trial ShiftAPPens'25

The Cybersecurity Laboratory (CSlab) at CISUC  focuses on advancing cybersecurity research and training. In addition to conducting cutting-edge research, CSlab fosters hands-on learning through activities such as Capture The Flag (CTF) competitions and Ethical Hacking (ETH) exercises. The lab also provides access to cybersecurity academies offered by leading security vendors, including Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Cisco.

As part of our training and event initiatives, we are organizing a CTF competition at ShiftAppens (a 48-hour programming and entrepreneurship competition where teams collaborate to develop innovative technology projects). Our CTF event will challenge participants with cybersecurity scenarios, enhancing their skills in ethical hacking, vulnerability analysis, and security problem-solving. The event will feature challenges of varying difficulty levels, for both beginners and experienced participants. Additionally, we will provide a dedicated training environment with a series of guided challenges, accompanied by step-by-step tutorials.

Since this event requires a complex infrastructure to support multiple teams simultaneously, we are organizing a trial event to test the platform and identify potential issues. We invite/ask you to participate in this trial, helping us test and improve the event.

We’re hosting a Capture The Flag (CTF) Trial Challenge, a warm-up event leading to the main CTF competition that will be co-located at ShiftAppens! This event is important to test the resilience and security of the infrastructure, and while the set of challenges will be limited compared to the main event, it is still an opportunity to test your hacking skills.
